Those messages indicate that the computational particle position is not within the domain of any of the meteorological grids that you specified in the control file (yours looks to be 20230118ARL). If a particle is off the meteorological grids, then HYSPLIT will remove it from the simulation.
The dead particle message is only generated when using IDSP=2 (stilt routines).
