Hello HYSPLIT Community,
I am currently planning to conduct dispersion modeling using the HYSPLIT model with GFS meteorological data, focused specifically on South Korea. Given the geographic coordinates used in GFS data (WGS84), I'm trying to understand the internal process HYSPLIT uses for coordinate conversions when the target area is South Korea.
Could anyone provide insights on the following issue?
Coordinate System Conversion: Which EPSG code does HYSPLIT use to project the geographic coordinates from WGS84 to a meter-based coordinate system for dispersion modeling purposes in Korea? Is there a specific projected coordinate system that HYSPLIT defaults to for calculations within this region?
Thank you for your help and looking forward to your expert advice!
