Hello All,
I used Internet-based HYSPLIT and Linux-based HYSPLIT to run 24-hour back-trajectories using the HRRR3km dataset (lat 32.0906 and lon -81.1304), but the results are slightly different. See the attachments (Linux-based and Internet-based ). Does anyone know what caused the difference between the results? I also tested Windows-based hysplit and the results are same as Linux-based results.
Additionally, I obtained a subgrid of the HRRR dataset using the xtrct_grid tool and reran the back-trajectory model using the Linux version. The outputs are also slightly different from the Linux-based HYSPLIT using the raw HRRR dataset ( ). I also wonder what the possible reasons are for this difference.
Thank you!
Sherry
