I am using an EMITIMES file to determine smoke plume dispersion from a wildfire. I'm definitely overthinking this, but I had a few questions on what the value should be for burned area.
- Since the emissions are per hour, should burned area also be per hour, or should it be per day, or for the whole fire?
- Should the burned area impact the dispersion results when the dispersion model is being run as a 3D particle in both horizontal and vertical? Or does burned area only affect puff calculations?
Thank you!
