I am trying to use HYSPLIT downstream of idealized LES simulations of WRF (2 m resolution in x, y, and z). I am able to run the arw2arl preprocessor without errors; however, the ARLDATA.CFG file contains only 51 vertical levels instead of the 200 levels present in the WRF output. The HYSPLIT simulation itself produces numerous errors.
In general, is it possible to use HYSPLIT with idealized LES simulations of WRF? Do you have any suggestions or bibliographic references?
