Hello everyone!
I'm trying to convert WRF output files to ARL format using arw2arl, but the conversion fails with the following error:
ERROR: incorrectly defined polar projection in WRF!
TRUELAT1 does not equal TRUELAT2: -56.9850006 -90.0000000
TRUELAT1 defines the latitude at which the grid resolution is defined.
STOP 900
My WRF output uses a polar stereographic projection with two different true latitudes defined. From what I understand, arw2arl expects TRUELAT1 and TRUELAT2 to be the same, which isn’t the case in my setup.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a known workaround or modification that would allow the conversion to proceed successfully?
Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Charlie
